Family and friends to honor Ryan Shay by running NYC Marathon

As many as three dozen members of the extended Ryan Shay-Alicia Craig-Notre Dame running families are planning to run Sunday's ING NYC Marathon. They are dedicating their races to the memory of Shay, who died a year ago on November 3, 2007, while competing in the Saturday morning U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in Central Park. The runners are all being supplied with racing apparel by Saucony, Shay's sponsor and a supporter of the Ryan Shay Fund as well as manufacturer of the Shay XC, a cross country racing shoe.

As, a collegiate athlete in the NAIA, would like to thank all of you who join hands in the preparation of this great event. Shay was a remarkable person with great talent. I always wanted to run like him. I will let others know how we can honor graet sportsmen like shay. good job competeitors and family. Respond to 051583@mobap.edu
