Celebrations over Usain Bolt win jam traffic in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) Celebrations of Jamaica's record-setting Olympic relay team jammed traffic across the capital Friday as people poured into the streets waving flags and photos of Usain Bolt, the world's fastest man.

Drivers honked their horns and cheered after Bolt led Jamaica to victory in the 4x100-meter relay, claiming for himself a third gold medal at the Beijing Games.

"The boy fast like a car," said bus driver Trevor Wallace.

At a central thoroughfare that has been a hub for celebrations all week, more than a thousand people watched the race on a big-screen television mounted near a bus terminal. Some had Jamaica's gold, green and black flag painted on their faces.

The Caribbean island's prime minister, Bruce Golding, said the government is planning to announce three days of celebrations to honor the achievements of Jamaica's Olympic team.

Hmmn, I wonder if Tyson had won the 100-200 and Laryn and Allyson had won the 100-200 and then we won the 4x100 (men only). And we would have lost all the other things we were in if the President would have declared 3 days of National Celebration. :)
But still congrats and big huge ups to tiny Jamaica

GO USA...still the world's greatest country!
