Olympic medallists confirm they will compete at Weltklasse

The AF Golden League Weltklasse meeting in Zurich on 29 August is the first large international athletics meeting post-Beijing, and the stars are lining up to participate.

Double World record holder Usain Bolt of Jamaica heads the line up with two other medallists, Richard Thompson and Walter Dix also confirmed.

Golden League jackpot contenders Pamela Jelimo and Croatia's High Jump Queen Blanka Vlasic will also be there, and organizers have also confirmed another face-off between men's 400m runners Jeremy Wariner and LaShawn Merritt, men's 1500m Olympic gold medallist Rashid Ramzi, and 110m Hurdles World record holder Dayron Robles vs. American David Oliver.

Other Olympic medallists already confirmed include Pole Vault Champion Yelena Isinbayeva, 100m Hurdles winner Dawn Harper (USA), 400m Hurdles Champion Angelo Taylor, and Brimin Kipruto (KEN) in the 3000m Steeplechase.

I would love to see the relay medalist go up against the USA 4x100's and Jamaican womens' 4x100. The world was cheated out of some great competition due to the mishaps of the USA. Zurich has the big bucks to get it done so lets hope it happens.
