Bird's Nest turns into a house of horrors for U.S. team

BEIJING - On the third day of the Olympic track and field competition Sunday, the U.S. team all but fell out of the Bird's Nest. Let us count the ways.

At the 100-meter finish line, you had three U.S. women going 0-for-the-podium, while their Jamaican competitors were going 3-for-3 - the first such sweep in Olympic history.

Don't look now but it's only gonna get worst!!! We still have the 200m men and women, and all 4 relays. God help America!!!!

Other then Shalane Flannigan Christian Cantwell, & Walter Dix...our team is doing awful.

Sanya Richards is the only one to maintain in the 400
Men's 1500...they're all out
Men's triple jump...they're all out
Men's high jump....they're all out
Men's hammer...only guy out
Men's Steeple...only 1 guy in the final
Men's Discus...they're all out
Men's Long Jump...they're all out
Women's 800...they're all out
Trammell...DNF

luckily there are events like the 400hurdles, where all 6 of the americans advanced, and men's 400 where all 3 looked great.
