WSU's Pickler twins shared an Olympic dream – but only one of them will compete in Beijing
There are twins, and then there are the Picklers, Diana and Julie, knotted to each other since birth, as inseparable as commas to this run-on sentence.
On June 28 at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in Eugene, Ore., Diana placed third in the heptathlon, holding off fourth-place finisher GiGi Johnson in the final event, the 800-meter run, to claim her first Olympic berth by a razor-thin margin.
