RECAP OF THE LAST THREE WEEKS

Unfortunately the past three weeks I haven't been as faithful to my training as I should have been. I was trying to do everything. Do well in class. Work full time. Practice. And on top of all that I've been trying to find a job for after graduation. I guess I overestimated my abilities because juggling 4 big things at once isn't the greatest. I really felt burnt out. And for the most part I still feel pretty stressed. Oh well, as soon as the season starts up in full swing things should settle down with my current job and hopefully by then I'll have a job all lined up for after school too. So, onward with the recap of the past week...

THE RUN DOWN

Monday: 8*40m in's and out's. Lifted weights.

Tuesday: Took the day off. I prioritized voting over practice. I drove 3 hours round trip with my bro to cast our votes in our hometown of Cold Spring, Minnesota.

Wednesday: 4*500's and lifted. For some reason this workout was a lot rougher than what it should have been.

Thursday: Went back to the hill. 300,200,100,300,200,100. This was a tough one. Each rep was progressively faster than the previous and the rest was cut with each rep too.

Friday: 6*300's.

Saturday: Rested. I drove home with Karolien so she could practice with her track club, Flightdeck, at Saint John's and so I could get a hair cut from the barber.

Sunday: Took the day off. Did homework as well as stretched and got an ad routine in.

ROUND HERE

On Friday Travis and me met with this big name recruit from Indiana. Ryan was his name. So, this kid was pretty good stuff. Like most recruits who come to campus Ryan was amazed at all the beautiful women Saint Thomas has to offer. Trav and me took Ryan to see the 10th ranked UST hockey team rip it up against the 2nd ranked team from Saint Norbert's College. UST defeated the defending national runner-ups 5-3. Needless to say it was pandemonium after the game. Somehow I don't think Ryan saw much of the game, as he was too preoccupied viewing the lovely ladies in the stands.

LEADER OF THE PACK

The sixth installment of my Leader of the Pack Award goes to none other than Chris Matke. Pump is a Co-Captain on the team with myself, Bryce Beckman, and Jason Schweitz. We call Chris "Pump" because...well...I'm not sure. Pump hasn't been able to practice with the team yet because he is playing football, but he's looking good out on the gridiron. Way to go Pump! Keep on keeping on!

WORDS OF WISDON

So if you weren't living under a rock for the past week you would realize the elections are over and good ole' George W. is in office for what appears to be another 4 years. Way to go Mr. President. My favorite quote from this past election wasn't from a political candidate at all. It was from Ashton Kutcher. Mr. Kutcher was down in Iowa representing Mr. Kerry in some rally. When Mr. Kutcher got up to the microphone the first words out of his mouth were "We got punk'd!"
