ROUND HERE

Classes are in full swing. We are 3 weeks into the semester and I'm already wishing it were May. I'm so tired of school. I just want it to be over with.

I still don't have any word on my job relocation yet. But I shouldn't be complaining too much. I have a job once I graduate!

THE MEET

The meet this weekend was at St. Olaf. (FYI-St. Olaf has a flat 200-meter track.) It was a quad meet between St. Olaf, La Crosse (alma mater of Andrew Rock), Luther, and UST. As far as D-III track and field goes, it was a quality meet all around. La Crosse decided to flex some of its team's muscle and had a weight thrower toss 20 meters, had like three or four guys vault 16 feet or something ridiculous, and their 400 crew looked pretty damn good too. My man Nate Olson from LAX won the 400 in 48.2. Not too shabby. Oh, and in a tune up race before the Big 10's this coming weekend, Andrew Carlson from the University of Minnesota made running 14:11.x in the 5k look real easy.

Individually, the meet went well for me. I ran the 200. Nice and easy. When I crossed the finish line I had about 5 guys run up to me and said I ran 21.6. That would have been sweet, but when the results were published it showed I ran 21.98. 21.6 would have obviously been nicer than the 21.98, but it still is a PR, team record, and conference record and I'll take that any day.

I'm not certain of where we will be running next weekend, but all I know is we are throwing together the 4*400 relay. It should be fun!

I'd like to take this opportunity to make a special hello to my mom's friend Ellen in Wisconsin. Hello Ellen!

LEADER OF THE PACK

This weeks Leader of the Pack Award goes to none other than Peter Rosholt who, although, he didn't throw as well as he'd like to this weekend, has been on a tear as of late. So two weeks ago, Pete attended a New Prague High School girl's basketball game to watch KT and Cheese Theisen. While there he acquired a New Prague track and field shirt with the name Theisen on the back. Peter started wearing the shirt to warm up and in the first meet with the shirt he PR'd. And in the second he PR'd again and hit provo in the weight throw. Don't get rid of the shirt Peter! Keep up the good work!
