INDOOR NATIONALS

Everyone keeps on asking me what went wrong at nationals, and yes I am disappointed, but under the circumstances I'm surprised I even ran well in the 4x4. I wasn't able to practice before nationals and still can't because I have a stress fracture in my left leg. I'm stuck doing bike and rowing workouts b/c it's painful as all hell to run. With everything considered, I'm fine with how nationals went…because I am more confident than ever; I have more practice under my belt this year than I have ever had before, the stress fracture will be better within a month, and I haven't begun to taper yet. Being able to practice outside soon will help with injuries a lot and Lundin will have us ready to go this spring when it matters most. But it sounds like I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to open up.

GRADUATING

I just started student teaching and I was placed with 2 and 3 year olds! I am going to graduate this spring with an early childhood major, but even though college classes are done in May, I have to student teach until June 7th . So the rest of this spring is going to kick my ass, but I'm anxious to be able to concentrate on running this summer. I plan on substitute teaching for as long as I run and then hopefully be able to begin a coaching career or open my own Montessori school.
