Shalane Flanagan of North Carolina » Shalane Flanagan is a junior at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and is arguably the most dominant female collegiate distance runner in the nation with countless All-American certificates, blazing track marks, and a cross country national title. Cliff Rovelto of Kansas State » Rovelto is the head coach of Kansas State where the lady Wildcats took fifth at the 2002 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Also responsible for coaching a number of All-Americans and former Olympian Steve Fritz, Rovelto has also been named as an assistant for the U.S. at the 2003 World Championships. (11/8/02)
Lashinda Demus of South Carolina » Demus had an outstanding freshman year in 2002 which included the NCAA title in the 400m hurdles, third in the 400 meters and part of the collegiate record holding 4x400m relay. She also went on to break her own world junior record in the 400m hurdles as well over the summer. (11/5/02)
Adam Wallace of Wisconsin » Wallace is a fifth year senior and team captain at the University of Wisconsin. After earning All-American at the NCAA Cross Country Championships two years ago in 2000 and qualifying for the NCAA indoor 5000 meters last year, Wallace will help lead Wisconsin into 2003 again. Daniel Lincoln of Arkansas » Lincoln is the defending NCAA 3000 meters steeplechase champion which also included taking third in the 5,000 meters. Looking ahead to the 2002 NCAA Cross Country Championships and the 2003 track seasons, Lincoln looks for more hardware to bring home for Arkansas. (11/2/02)
Sam Segond of Rutgers » Segond won the Big East indoor shot put title along with the outdoor title in the discus including the IC4A as a freshman. After placing 12th in the discus at the 2002 NCAA Championships, Segond owned the top throw among American-born freshman as well. (11/1/02)
Duane Vandenbusche of Western State » Dr. Duane Vandenbusche is the head coach at Western State where they have been a force in Division II cross country and track & field for many years. The 2001 NCAA Division II Coach of the Year looks for another run at a national championship in 2002-03 and beyond. (10/31/02)
Amy Linnen of Arizona » Linnen was the 2002 NCAA Indoor Champion in the pole vault which included a record clearing height of 14'10.25" at the Championship meet. Originally from the state of New York, Linnen hopes to jump even higher this year for the Wildcats of Arizona. (10/28/02)
Tiffany Ross of South Carolina » Ross was one of the fabulous freshman in 2002 to help lead the South Carolina women to their first ever national championship. The national runner-up in the 400 meter hurdles and part of the NCAA record 4x400m relay, Ross looks for even faster times this season. (10/25/02)
Vicky Gill of Florida State » Gill surprised everyone at the NCAA Cross Country Pre-Nationals with her victory in the white race. Her time of 19:54.8 was the fastest time of the day as well. With the cross country nationals just around the corner, Gill looks for another fast time. (10/24/02)
Bill Nuemann of Iowa » Nuemann placed third in the javelin at the 2002 NCAA Championships for Iowa. The former two-time Canadian National Junior silver medalist looks to defend his Big Ten title along with a run at the NCAA Championship title this season. (9/30/02)
Marc Sylvester of Tennessee » Sylvester earned All-American in the 800 meters during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2002 as a true freshman for Tennessee. Heading into the 2003 track seasons, Sylvester looks to make the competition even tougher in the SEC and NCAA. (9/27/02)
Perdita Felicien of Illinois » Felicien is decorated with so many titles you can't keep a list without writing a book. The NCAA record holder in the 60m hurdles and 2000 Olympian for Canada looks to burn up the track even more heading into the 2003 collegiate seasons. (9/26/02)
Lacy Janson of Florida State » Janson was the US Junior Champion in the pole vault and earned All-American status indoors and outdoors in 2002 as a freshman for the Seminoles. Entering the 2003 season, Janson has set even bigger hieghts for herself. (9/26/02)
Josh Spiker of Wisconsin » As a redshirt freshman in 2001-02, Spiker came on the scene with strong finishes in his collegiate debuts. He finished 9th overall in cross country, was part of the second place indoor DMR and took 3rd in the outdoor 1500 meter final. (9/26/02)
Ryan Harlan of Rice » Harlan was an All-American in the decathlon last season for Rice and enters the 2003 campaign as the top ranked collegiate. On the brink of breaking 8,000 points, Harlan is well on his way for another solid year for the Owls. (9/24/02)
Gary Kikaya of Tennessee » Kikaya is the 2002 SEC and NCAA Outdoor Champion in the 400 meters. A vital part of the 2002 NCAA Indoor National Championship team, Kikaya hopes to help lead Tennessee to another national championship run. (9/24/02)
Consuella Moore of Penn State » Moore is the defending Big Ten Champion in both the 100 and 200 meters. She also earned All-America honors in the 100 meters at the 2002 NCAA Championships. Moore has even bigger plans for this season as well. (9/23/02)
Melissa Bickett of Michigan » Bickett won the Pan Am Junior World title in the discus and also held the top collegiate mark in the nation heading into the 2002 NCAA Championships. She looks forward to another trip to the NCAA Championships this season. (9/23/02)
Christian Cantwell of Missouri » Cantwell is a 5-time All-American in the shot put and currently holds the Big 12 conference record. Cantwell looks for more distance heading into his 2003 senior campaign and on into the USA Championships. (9/23/02)
