4X100m

Someone actually picked Jamaica? Well I think the 100 is a toss up because the best 100m runner will not be competing....but she will win the 200m..ie Veronica Campbell. But I have to disagree in th sprint relay. America tends to get the stick around faster than anyone else even when they dont have the fastest women. I will take that bet....

Jamaica is the right pick for the 4 x 100m. The 4th fastest is 10.88s and lets not forget they won Olympic Gold in Athens in the relay so YES they can get the stick around.
I will also say they still have to be flawless in the handoffs cause any mishap will see the USA flying to Olympic glory.

Villi threw 20.08m at a small meet in Townsville 30 July, so unless an injury has not made the NZ Athletics website, think she will be there somewhere. Won last two worlds and know Ostapchuck is throwing biggies, but biggies in Belarus are not the same as biggies outside.

I'd put my money on Mizuki Noguchi, the defending champ.

Nickiesha Wilson 400H

Wilson will medal and after watching her crush Williams of the U.S. in two rounds of last years World Championships I wouldn't be surprised if she won the gold for Jamacia. She is the finest hurdling talent in the world and to not pick her to medal is a surprising oversite by Trackshark.

To the above comment, no matter who they pick, they'll get ripped anyways from "fans" of the athletes or whatever. They can't win who they select among the fans, but it's a valiant effort.

Jamaica is a sure bet for the gold barring in mishaps, there are too many american biases in regard to the sprints and the relays.
Dont be haters

I don't think it's hating. Saying the Americans can win the 4x100 is more then fair bet. Though i do think if hand-offs work for the Jamaicans they are more then able to win it. The Americans will defiantly win the 4x400 though.

You've got Veronica over Allyson ? Huh,Allyson is ready to drop a bomb.VCB is not ready to go 21.69 like Allyson.

200m...wow

I usually enjoy reading these posts and refrain from offering my own opinion. However, the mere suggestion that Veronica Campbell-Brown will win the 200m over the two time world champion in that event is to say the least, a stretch. It would be different if Felix had been struggling with this event or even battling injuries. Quite the opposite. She has been getting stronger especially towards the end of her race. Running 50 point in the 400m is an indication of what kind of sprint endurance she has attained through her training. Not to mention that she will not have to double in this meet. I'm sure others may have their own opinions, but my money is on Allyson.

Racewalk?
