Second Times a Charm...

Monday - Ok... let try this a second time! haha. So I was pretty tired coming off this weekend, there was alot going on ya know? So I did the same interval workout, with a 2.5 mile warm up and 1.3 mile cool down. Repeats were 6,5,4,3 min with 2 min jog recovery in between. I actually felt pretty good once I got moving. Funny thing is though when I was done and later in the night my arms started gettin sore. Thats how I know I was really running... thats just not an everyday occurance for me haha. Well day one down!
Mileage: 7.3 miles

Tuesday - Man... I had soo much more energy today! Well... before I started running that is haha. So I had a 45 min run, then 3x200 on the track (32, 36, 33) w/ 400 jog recovery, then a 10 min cool down run. My legs felt pretty tight during my run... and when I got on the track they really tightened up. It was one of those days where I was just glad to get through the run and stay alive haha. Nothin else really exciting to report today!
Mileage: 8 miles

Wednesday - Ew... ew... ew... if I thought that yesterday I felt bad... today was like 4 times worse. I felt like i was runnin in thick mud.... with 20 lb weights on my thighs... uphill. The whole time I was just watchin my watch and waitin for 40 minutes to come up. So yeah... thankfully I'm cross training tomorrow... then 400's on Friday... yikes!
Mileage: 5 miles

Thursday - I was just sooo whiped out today that I decided to take this day as my day off. Got the 400m workout tomorrow so I wanted to make sure I was plenty rested for that!


Friday - Man... My legs were still kind of tight and dead when I woke up, so I was sooo nervous about the workout today. Then on top of it all it was kind of cloudy with on and off sprinkles. Gotta love it. So I had 6 x 400 and my goal pace was a really moderate 78-74 seconds.... and in my traditional way I ran ahead of my pacing. But I really felt like I was taking it easy and I even had to resort to literally jogging in the last 15 meters. My times were 72, 74, 72, 72, 70, 69. I felt really really awesome and i was pretty surprised by my times cuz I was really worried about even hitting the times at 78 seconds. I guess I'm in better shape than i thought i was :)
Mileage: 4.2 miles

Saturday - Man... my calves are sooo tight today... I'm walkin around all sorts of messed up. I can sum up everything I did today in a few words... Rode the bike for 40 min... and football! What a great weekend for football haha. I love when the games start gettin really great, evenly matched teams and close games. Lots of upsets though... crazyness. But i loved every minute of it!
Mileage: 5 miles

Sunday - My calves were still super super tight but I had to grind out an hour run, I was supposed to roll the last 10 minutes if I felt good.... but I was still hurtin from the track workout so I kept it a nice steady pace. Whew... I'm glad I survived that.
Mileage: 7.7 miles

Total Mileage: 37.2 miles

thats a good solid week. How much rest did you take btwn the 400s on the thurs WO.
