Race... Race against the darkness!
Monday - I really enjoyed this day off, I was going to do a workout, but after the run yesterday my legs were a little tired so i went for an easy run instead. I'll just do my hard workout tomorrow. I did email my coach askin to get on the track soon cuz i'm gettin stir crazzy on these runs haha... I'm a track born person and I can't help it. Ah well... we'll see what he comes up with ! 6 miles Tuesday - Since our school moved their practice to the afternoon I can start going to more of their practices. It just happened to work out well that I had a hard workout today and so did they! So I ended up doing 6x 800m on their cross country course with them. The first 4 werent too bad... but those last too.... shoooooot. Those hurt, my hammies are gonna be in pain the next few days. But it felt good to do sort of an interval workout (told ya I was gettin twitchy!) 5 miles Wednesday - Yeah... we're just gonna leave it at: I am uber sore and am just going to do a recovery day today. Easy 6! 6 miles Thursday - Maaaaaaaan it was HOT today! I think this was the first real hot day that we had practice in the afternoon, and runnin at 4 pm didnt help at all. We did a long warm up, then 4x 1 min hard, 1 min recovery straight into 8x 30 sec hard, 30 sec recovery. Then the longest cool down of my life! haha It was a good run though. I was just excited cuz I got to run on the track. Then after practice I tried to go register my car, but ended up driving up and down the street for 30 min tryin to find it. See the thing about here, is NO ONE wants to put their friggin address on their buildings, so tryin to figure out where the heck you are, or what side of the street your building is going to be on is almost impossible. I'm gonna give it another try tomorrow... hopefully I get better results. Gas is still too high to just be cruising up and down streets lookin for stuff. I might get out and walk next time haha. 6 miles Friday- Soooo instead of working out like I probably should have, I drove around and actually found the tag office, but had to leave quickly after to get Georgia car insurance. But mission was accomplished for the day. After I headed straight to Zaxby's for the chicken finger plate... I'm low key addicted to Zaxbys. Their toast and fries are... mmm.... too delicious for words. and Yikes... I just looked up the nutrition facts... the meal I eat is 1300 calories and tonnns of fat haha. But on the good not it has lots of fiber and protein.....yeah. Then I was a bum on the couch, and to top off the day of laziness.... my roommate and I did a late night run to Waffle House where I had not one, but two bacon egg and cheese sandwich (with a side order of grease please). Ohh.... it was a sinful day, but man it was so good. I'll just have to run it off the next two days... dern. 0 miles (add 10 lbs haha) Saturday- So... you may be asking yourself... who works out at 10pm on a Saturday? That would be me. Yup... there I was in our workout center doing a progressive run on the treadmill then doin about 45 min worth of weights and abs. I'm really excited about my weights though because I'm already hang cleanin what I ended off hang cleanin in all my years in college. So my strength is there... YAY. And I felt pretty great during my progressive. Added 4 more minutes, but still ran a 6:40 avg.... and honestly I could have ran faster. Next time 20 min progressive - 5 miles Sunday- OMG... let me never EVER do this again. I ran with a high school and Kayla again... but we started at about 7pm... forgetting that it's getting darker earlier. We went for 65 min.... but the last 15 minutes was a race against darkness... and we lost. It was terrible. The last 10 minutes i was praying that we would make it with no one harmed.... all those tree roots were askin for twisted ankles. But we made it and I'm slowly increasing my mileage... woot woot! 65 minutes - 8.7 miles Total mileage: 36.7 miles

Sorry to my first anonymous poster... my blog was comin out funny so i deleted is and re-entered it again. But to answer your question... i was doing about 3 flat or under (we were on a really hilly cross country course). They werent smokin fast, but I'm hopin that'll change soon haha
That a'way
Good to hear you are still rollin' and getting back on the track. I rolled a new long run pr yesterday...16! Funny how I did that and today begins the actual workout portion of my running. How is the teaching going? Is it still humid in Georgia?
