If it's not one thing...

Monday – Man… sooo tired. Since coach and I didn’t get back to Reno until 1 am… it was a long day Sunday. So today was just a recovery day, which I did on the bike cuz my ankle has decided to swell up again… and it still hurts to put on my shoe most of the time. I have to put it on in just the right angle… otherwise instant pain haha. I had to go to work today as well… It wasn’t terribly bad, just kind of a long day. But I had lots of fun people come into work so it kept things interesting. We’re aiming for Wednesday for my next tough workout, we’ll see if my body is up for speed session tomorrow or not… That’s about it for today!

48 min bike

Mileage: 6 miles

Tuesday –Today was a speed day… a HOT speed day. And ok… so it was only in the 70’s… but it felt like the 90’s! I swear! We didn’t even try and start the workout with our shirts on, it was sports bra’s out from the go haha. Anyways, the speed day felt ok for almost all the stuff. Coach and I still noticed that I was running tight for my sprints. I think I just need to do some more speed to get my body used to it. And we put off the workout for tomorrow cuz I’m still kinda heavy from the meet… we’ll do it Thursday instead now. I’m really excited because I get to sell back my books tomorrow and hopefully get some cash for them! Plus my mom and I finalized the actual move date for Georgia! Its sooo official now! J

Mileage: 5 miles

Wednesday – So yesterday was just a nice running day through the park. I actually felt pretty good so I was happy… I was a little stiff in my joints, but that’s nothing really. Haha… you should hear the icky crackin noises my knees make now. It’s funny.  Anyways, otherwise it was a nice lazy day at home, watched some movies and relaxed!

Mileage: 6.3 miles

Thursday – Ugh…. Ok…. So today was the tough workout right? Right… So I did my warm up and felt pretty good. Went through one 1200… and felt tired, but still pretty ok. Hit my time and all… was good! Then on my second one, I had to bring the time down a little and the 3rd 400 I was struggling, my body just felt sluggish and I got a little lightheaded. So it took me a little longer to start my recovery run after the second 1200… but I jogged through it and got ready to run my third. About a lap into my third one… I just got really sluggish and light headed, I honestly thought I was going to just pass out, but I made it through. But right when I stopped I just collapsed. That just never happens to me! Like I don’t lay out. I tried to sit up again, but I just couldn’t move, the world was spinning (even with my eyes closed) and I couldn’t keep my eyes open. It took a while for me to finally drag myself up… and during my jog recovery I just felt wobbly, like I was teetering on my feet. So we called the workout. And I told coach some things that have been going on lately… namely for the last couple of months I’ll have random close to blackout moments. They only last for like 30sec and I never completely blackout but its dang close. Plus when I’ve been running sometimes my vision becomes blurred and I have a depth and stability problem… that’s the only way I can describe it. I just never thought much of it ya know?

So I went to the health center and after asking all the questions they ordered up some blood work (which I wont hear about til Monday) and an EKG to check out my heart. There were some irregular beats, but that doesn’t mean anything bad… so I have to go see a Cardiologist next Tuesday and get more info. I’m staying away from the worst case scenario option, and refuse to go near it haha. I doubt it something with my heart… and I’m gonna try and finish the workout tomorrow morning… we’ll see how it goes.

Mileage: 4.5 miles

haha--you stole my blog title. All jokes aside i feel you on "if it's not one thing". I've never had so many injuries. The thing is to hold on though--keep your faith and you'll get through it. A break through is coming!

Hope it's nothing serious!

It sounds like you have a deficiency somewhere or something like low blood sugar. Hopefully nothing too serious! They are always really careful with heart things but it usually is nothing. I had to have all these heart tests once for no reason really. Lots of people have a little murmur or irregularity. Anyway, hope everything turns out ok

I hear abt the if its not one thing tip. Nonetheless, I've had moments where the world was teetering before me. Me? I try to keep some type of sugar on me (candy, fruit, whatever). I had a job this semester. Who would think that sitting down watching kids sleep would have me using up more sugar? Needless to say those additional working hrs made me feel dizzy. So try to get a good meal in when you can and keep snacks on you ;)
