Side order of wind please!
Monday – Today was a progressive day, both for the run and
for the bike session. It went pretty good… I just feel distracted because I got
a huge research project due plus a presentation on Thursday…. And I’ve barely
started it! Yay procrastination haha.

Tuesday – So today was a speed day. But let me tell you how
windy it was! I literally got blown off my feet, that’s what 65mph winds do I
guess haha. I was just happy that I got to finish the speed session… I believe
this is the first time I’ve been able to do that! Yay… but… then I pulled a
blond moment. So I brought my computer and all my stuff to school so I could
finish my paper (cuz I just cant focus at home) and got all my stuff set up…
and realized I left all my research materials at home. My bad! Ugh… I’ll just
do it tomorrow I think.
Mileage: 4.5 miles
Wednesday – Longest Wednesday ever! So it was another kinda
windy day which made me a little nervous. We ended up changing the workout
after my first 1200, with my asthma… the wind is no bueno. I was suckin air
like a fish outta water. It wasn’t pretty. SO we changed to 300’s at 800m pace.
Man… let me tell you what a confidence boost that was for me. The paces I was
runnin was around 2:03 avg… and I didn’t feel once like I was pushin it… not to
mention it was cold and windy. Definitely needed this workout going into this
weekend. Coach was really happy too because he said it was the best specific (meaning
800m race specific) workout that I’ve ever done in all the years he’s been
here! After the workout I spent like 3 hours finishing my project… I’ll finish
my presentation before class tomorrow haha. Oh… and don’t forget the bike
double haha… oh yeah. And on a side note... I'm sooo freakin happy I think I'm gettin down to race weight... I'm back unter 130 (buy 2 lbs haha) and I couldnt be more excited (Cuz it's finally been consistent for the last 3 days too )
