Enough Already

Thursday – Let frustration reign! I’m tryin to keep my worries down and pray that my foot is only irritated from a wrap I had on my ankle today, and not because I hurt it. I went to run 40 min on the treadmill… and right around 20 min it felt like something in the middle/top of my foot just splintered. So I stopped for a couple minutes, tried to run again and made it 15 more seconds before I had to stop and hop on the bike. It’s kinda irritated right now just walkin around, but I hope by morning its all betters! Then there was the weirdest little boy while I was working out at my apartments today. He was like just bouncing from one thing to another, was probably like 12 … but like he would just be talking… and I couldn’t tell if he was talking to me or not so I ignored him. And he would stare… like just stare… it was sooo creppy. Luckily my roomy came in cuz she saw my car and talked with me til I was done… she said the same thing about him being creepy and stare-y when we left. I’m so excited though cuz I made the invite heat of the 800 at Mt. Sac… and it’s pretty stacked. Couple of 2:01 girls, lots of 2:04’s and everywhere in between. Takes some pressure off me so I can just run and let them carry me to a time. Yay!

40 min run/bike – 5 miles

(bike) 3x5min hard, 2min recovery, 3x3min hard, 1min recovery, 3x1min hard, 1min recovery – 8 miles

Mileage: 13 miles

Friday – So I was supposed to do a progressive on the treadmill today, but after yesterday I decided to lay low and do the progressive on the bike instead. Then I had to rush off to work… it was a pretty ok day. Nothing to terribly exciting… boo

Mileage: 8 miles

Sunday – Man! I really don’t know how much more of all this stuff I can take. Since about Stanford weekend it seems like its been just one thing after another after another. So I decided to try running again today, since we have a hard workout tomorrow…. Figured I should kind of shake my legs out ya know? So I went to the treadmill to get my run in before church. I thought to take it easy and go at about 7.5 speed and just jog it easy. Yea I only made it a minute… or maybe less. Then my foot started hurting super bad again, so I went back on the stupid bike. Then at church it was all emotional too, but I don’t want to really talk about that haha. To top it all off… talked to my coach, and he says if I can’t run the workout tomorrow then he’s going to call the Mt. Sac meet director and let him know I’m not racing this weekend. Please pray for me

Mileage: 6 miles

Total Mileage: 51.6 miles

Everything happens for a reason. Use this time to focus on working on other things that maybe weak or that you have ignored. Nothing before its time.

I talked to my trainer the day it started hurting, but like i said they put it off to just hurting from the wrap on my ankle. If it still hurts today i'm gonna bug him again and maybe start settin up appointments with my usual "kali's injured" team haha
