The beef
The Trials are almost over. Along with hundreds of athletes hopes and dreams. Well its just another four years till 2012, but the world might end that year. Depending on how you decipher the Mayan Calander. Who knows? While at the trials, I did the math for how many miles a runner ran between over the next four years. My brother figured he ran a averge of 80 miles a week, and he is an 800m runner. So it is only 15,360 miles till the next trials. Give or take a hundred. I didn't mention in my last blog, that I got the chance to see bri glen jump. She did what she needed to get done to make finals, but unfortunatly did not make the team. Good job Bri. I also saw deserea brown run the 400mH! That was cool. She made into the semis. I think I was the only one cheering for in the fan zone. Then I watched her semi, and she looked a little tight, but i'm sure she was happy with experince. I'm bet she come back next year a even better runner. I saw a lot of kids from colorado run, and lot of DII athletes competing. That was probably the most exciting part for me. Us DII athletes don't get much attention, but we know how make it count.
I've been watching the trials here at home, and i'm sick of all the athletes and their bull-****ing petions!! What the hell! If you fall in a race, you fall! Thats it. Its over. You're done! FINISHED!!! get over it, and race smarter next time. You are probably not going to able to get into the final round at the olympics if you trip in the semis. They won't give you that second chance. Why should you get in now? You shouldn't! Also, what was up with Adam Goucher getting in the 10,000?!! There 10 other men with better times then him. If they were going to let him in, they should have let those other 10 guys into the race as well. I don't care how fast he ran last year, if he couldn't do it this year, then he probably won't do it now. He didn't deserve to get in the race, and he didn't deserve to get on the team. Thats just my opinion. Keep checking in. I have at least one more trials blog I want to write.
