Everyone Dreams of the Olympics
With the D-1 Championships complete, all eyes turn towards Eugene and the U.S. as we wait for the results of the U.S. Olympic trials. Lately athletes have been attempting to make the trials. Many of them made the standard and many of them are just out of reach. Although many of you will not make the trials, or the Olympic team, you should not be discouraged. Competing against elite athletes takes a lot of hard work and love for this sport, especially in the United States. There are so many talented athletes here, being an elite track and field athlete is one of the hardest things to do, if not the hardest. I have a lot of respect for someone who has the courage to go out and compete against the worlds best. You people do what many of athletes dream they could do. That is to be one of the best, to leave behind a legacy, and to live the dream. So even if you don't make the trials or the team, keep your head up. At least you tried, and least you know what could have been. Plus there will always be next year. Keep up the hard work and good luck to those who make the Olympic trials. I will be there cheering you on.

This is very true, and sometimes very hard to remember. I hope that after reading your blog, athletes can take a moment to congratulate themselves on all the things they HAVE accomplished, rather than lamenting all they haven\'t. Keep up the good work everyone! And good job Stevan!
