Valentine Invite

Ok.  So this weekend, our team took a trip to the east coast.  Where a select few that had not qualified, or were looking to move up on the list, competed at the Boston Universtiy Valentine Invite.  The trip was almost a complete sucess, but i'm not saying why it wasn't.  Friday was the ladies day.  As they qualified two in the 800, i think 3 in the 5k, and the mile, the 4x400 droped another 4 seconds to move up on the performance list, the 200, on saturday morning the womens DMR went auto.  On the guys side we qualified in the one 800, 4x4 qualified, one in the 5k, one in the 400, and i can't really remember what else.  It was a long weekend, and tomorrow is going to be very long as well.  We just finished eating pizza and a lot of the kids are in bed.  You can check out the races on FLOTRACK.  Which i recommend EVERYONE should do.  I ran the anchor leg on the 4x4.  It wasn't too bad this time.  Our opening leg put us in the lead with air to breathe.  We all ran 48's, and ended up running 3:15.22 which would be auto, except for the fact that it was a banked track.  So i'm sure time will be added. We actually ended up first over all.  However, we didn't race Southern Conn.  They had the fastest time going in, but ended up scratching.  So... i guess we can't really say much till we race.  From what i hear they have some K-9s.   well i'm going to bed.  Have to wake up and catch a plane tomorrow morning.   Check out FLOTRACK!!!

Most of our guys were sick or injured.Otherwise we could have had a great rematch from Indoor Nationals '07.But you guys did a great Job and it was nice meeting some of your teammates.Good luck the rest of the season and hopefully we will meet up at Nationals.
