One more for Adams

So I ran this weekend at the Air Force Invite.  It was ok.  Everybody was having problems.  We had some more people qualify or at least move up on the National Performance List.  Two of our Quartermilers qualified.  Bob-o and Hoppa, or Josh and Michelle.  Which is really cool, because I don't remember the last time a 400m runner qualified to nationals for adams.  oh wait. yes i do.  So besides that I missed finals in the 400 by probably half a second.  So I was a ways off, but I was only three places away.  I also ran an Indoor PR.  That was a nice consolation, but I still want to do better.  I would love to at least make provisional, but i'm need to really work hard, and hope for a clean race.  Bob-o fell in his hurdle race, and he didn't feel to good in the finals of the 400.  So I ended up running the anchor of the 4x4.  I was pretty much freaking out.  I don't like anchor.  I ran a 49 high split, and ended up 4th or 5th.  So that was a little disapointing.  At least we took the lead in the RMAC in the 4x4.  Next time we run, i'm sure we'll have a better chance to qualify.  Did I mention the mens team won?!  That was really cool.  We didn't even have our big distance guys running for us either.  Too bad for MWC.   The women ended the team race in second, so that was nice too.  I'm not sure where the team is headed next, but i'm ready to run already.

That meet was definitely crazy, with everyone being sick and me falling in the hurdles. I don't know what happened. Hopefully we'll see what's up.

It's still awesome that the men won. Granted we weren't competing against Baylor, or LSU, or Texas, or any other D1 powerhouse (no offence to any school I didn't list, I'm not too track-fluent), but showing up with a three-quarter strength squad and beating a bunch of D1 schools just shows what kind of team lil' ole D2 ASC can field.

See you at practice, champ. I'm fixing myself up so you won't have to anchor anymore.
