Congrats Tanya!
So I haven't written in quite a while, and it has been anything but boring here at Adams. The mens and womens cross country teams both won the RMAC Cross Titles. Unfortunatly the mens team lost by one point at the North Central Regional Championships. The womens team continued to dominate and claimed the the regional team title, and the individual title. Which is pretty cool, because TG hasn't won a cross race this season, and everyone was rooting for her.
The cross team aren't the only people that have been working hard. A couple weeks ago, we had our time trial. 500m of pure fun. Everyone set a PR, or at least ran close to their PR. So we finally moved into the indoor track. Which i'm not sure is a good thing. On one hand, it is warm and there isn't any wind. On the other hand we breathe in a mixture of hot air and dust. Plus our track is only 150m around. I guess beggers can't be choosers. We have 30 days till our first meet, and i'm really not sure if i'm excited or scared sh**less. Oh well i'm sure everything will work out.
So i'm not sure whether to be angry or disapointed in runners. Not all runners, just the ignorant people on the message boards at letsrun.com who sit down and unload a big pile of Hate! I read a thread about how Adams doesn't deserve to win, how we suck eggs, and blah blah blah. What is with people these days?! What on Earth did we do to you? It's not like we roll up to the race and start telling everyone how good we are, and how much they suck. No, you don't see or hear anything like this coming from an athlete at Adams. It's not our style.
I read another thread about how other runners won't support Abiline, Adams, or Western because we have foriegners on our teams. These people believe that foreigners shouldn't be allowed to compete in the U.S. I don't see why not.? they have as much right as we do. Don't these idiots realize that this country was founded by people who immigrated here? These athletes not only help their school, they help the sport. They make you want to do better, and help make the competition level better. If they don't want Nicodemus or Hogarth to win, Why don't they get off their lazy butts and do something about it? Athletes are athletes. It doesn't matter where they come from to me, I'm just going work twice as hard so I can win.
But...maybe we should have an age limit to join the NCAA, like 26 or something to that effect.

I don't know what Adams team you're talking about but your SLOW sprinters run their mouths more than any other team in the RMAC. To bad they can't run as fast as they talk. But that doesn't go for everyone on your team. You and a lot of other people on your team are pretty cool and you let your legs do the talking.

Why doesn't this person actually put there name on here. what are they afraid of? Talking all big, and they won't even say who they are. although i do like that my blog is being a little controversial. Thats makes me kind of happy.

I love how someone can shoot off at the mouth and trash talk the sprinters on your team when if you look at the performance list for the RMAC the Adams sprinters took 5 lanes in the final of both the 100 and 200. Is this person even paying attention to what's going on? How can they be slow if they are obviously destroying the other sprinters in the RMAC?

They might have been in the lanes but they werent in the race. The top two finishers in both the 100 and 200 were half a second plus ahead of everyone else.

Let's see. First off, whoever this person is calls our guys slow yet they had to be FASTER than the other competitors in the RMAC in order to advance to the finals of the 100 and 200. Second, last time I checked handtimes don't count for anything and none of those handtimes are acurate enough to say that anyone was ahead by over half a second granted Corey and Mike Smith both ran their asses off. Third, quit postin as anonymous, if you're an adult then speak up and let your voice be heard. What are you hiding from? And finally, if you got a problem with what I said, fucc you and I'll tell you who said it. I don't need to hide behind a screen.
