E-8 Men Rankings - Week 1

March 25, 2008 at 2:57 PM - 9 comments - link
Week 1 rankings of the top 8 in each event for Division I men. Hopefully you'll see a big improvement over the pre-season rankings, due in large part to the responses and comments you gave us. Please keep the comments coming! Let us know what you think. There may still be a couple people we're still trying to confirm on redshirts so there still may be a few kinks.

I cant even take this seriously ....J rich just ran 13.47 and look where he is projected and this is coming off of a tight 2nd place finish indoors....where is drew brunson

long jump wrong
triple jump wrong
200 wrong
4 by 1 wrong
high jump wrong....ok my hands are tired

now to the polite stuff this is what you should think about
look at how people performed indoors, last year and thus far this year...give some credit to veterans and people who score regularly and then move down the list
so say for the long jump give the top 4 guys indoors a bit of credit and same for hurdles, sprints ...etc etc

just my humble opinion I know its a tough undertaking that is never perfect but can be credible
look at the indoor outcome and score no one got it right but people were fairly close ......

Ok cool, must be based on last year times. I think Trindon, Walter, and Richard should are the top 3

Bryshon Nellum

Personally I think Bryshon Nellum needs to put up a mark and show he is recovered from his injury before being ranked in the 400.

Hasnt Rory Quiller of Binghampton(Pole Vault) used up his outdoor eligibility?

100M Hurdles-Men

Let me make sure I've got this. Trindon Holiday, the U.S. National Runner-up to Tyson Gay is picked to finish 3rd in the NCAA's? I guess the college guys are faster than the pros in this country after all.

Quiller

Yes, I have confirmed that NCAA indoor vault champ Rory Quiller has no outdoor eligibility left.

Other than the Quiller mishap... the vault rankings look ALOT better this time around... good work!

Andretti Bain

10:36 AM, March 27, 2008 .. Posted by Anonymous
I notice Andretti Bain is ranked in the 400M Hurdles but not the open 400? He was the NCAA champ indoors in the open 400. He was an NCAA qualifier last year in the 400 Hurdles but didnt even make it past the prelims.
