Tuesday 8AM 7, 53:47, most w/ uml guys, all with Dedo, tot. 7
              4PM 3 w/up strides, 7 mile Progression run, w/ Rex, Ruben, Dedo(10k), Angus(5
                       miles), 36:48, hilly, 5:42, 11:21(5:39), 16:39(5:18), 22:01(5:22), 27;15(5:13),
                       32:15(5:00), 36:48(4:33). 3 c/down 27 mins tot. 13
              7PM 5 shakeout w/ Gary, 43:57 tot. 5

Wednesday 8AM 7, 51:42, w/ uml guys and Kevin A. tot. 7
                   11AM 13+, solo, miserable run, 1:34:19 tot. 13+
                   8PM rd. 6 solo shakeout back in lowell, 49:49 tot. 6

Thursday 9AM 3.5 w/up, strides, 400m in 79, strides 5000m on track, 15:12.0, about half
                        marathon effort, tired as ****, splits(3:03.4, 6:06.7-3:03.4, 9:08.9-3:02.2,
                       12:11.1-3:02.3, 15:12.0-3:01) 3.75 c/down tot. 11
               Noon saw the finn for massage ect..
               7PM rd. 8 solo shakeout, 58:19 tot. 7

Friday 10AM woods 10 solo, 1:03;51 tot. 10
           XT Myrtle and core
           5PM woods 6, solo shakeout, 46:18 tot. 6

Saturday AM Travel to Atlanta
              Noon 9- w/ Paul Aufdemberge, 1:02:54, road and trail, tot. 9-
              9PM 4+ solo shakeout, 33:23, strides after tot. 4++

Sunday 8AM 6+, 44:24 on trails first 36 mins w/ Paul and Luke Kipkosgei(12:56, 27:12), first
                      mile 8:20, last just under 5:50, then mile solo in about 6, tot. 6
            5PM 4+ solo shakeout, 32:05 tot. 4

Summary 136 miles for the week, 1 good workout, 1 baby workout, happy with the week.  I ran a race today (monday) and acutally didn't suck for the first time in recent memory so its all good but you'll have to wait for next week for that.

Nate, just curious what your primary focus is at this point? Are you running US marathon championships in one month in Minneapolis? Is there another marathon? Or are you just trying to run some fast times over shorter distances on the road? Thanks in advance.

I don't have time to get ready for twin cities. I need 5 or 6 weeks of specific marathon workouts and a two week taper before a marathon.
On thursday I'll do a 20k tempo, at around 3:20 a k on a rolling loop, not real fast. If the hammy holds up and lets me finish it then I'll try to get added to the NYC field.
If the hammy doesn't hold up or I can't get in to NYC then I'll do a short season of shorter races.
No matter what I'm already signed on for the Cow harbor 10k on sept. 20 which is a tough but not as tough as the one I just did in atlanta course and I would really like to break 30 mins there. The I'm signed on for the Hartford half marathon which is a fast by new england standards tough by national standards half marathon. My exact goals there will vary depending on if i'm doing NYC or not.
If I'm not doing NYC I'll look to add the 5k champs in RI, mayors cup and 2 to 4 other races.
