What Is Going On?
This past weekend has been the most craziest and exciting in a while for me. I'm sitting at home watching two track meets, which hardly ever happens. I'm glad ESPN ,CBS, and Trackshark is making a big effort in showing track meets to all the fans out there. I was totally amazed by Usain "LIGHTING " Bolt 9.72 . How this 6'5 giant just blazed the track like that. Just got me thinking where in the world is Asafa Powell. I hope these guys are clean athletes though, but Bolt has been fast for while he was going like 19 in the 200 at age 18. I can't wait to the Olympic trials and the Olympics. I have a feeling 4x1 record might go down to 37flat or you might see the first sub 37, never know it seems extreme but IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING lol. The 100,200,400 are going to be nasty this year. Michael Johnson 200 record might be broken. For the Americans some of our best records might not make it. Also the hurdles are becoming stack. I just can't wait.

TV Stars.
I'm at home chillin watching tv trying to relax. I just so happen to come across the Big 12 track meet and Pac-10. I saw some familar faces, people who I grew up with and some I met during my life so far. I saw my old summer track teammates Trey Harts from Baylor blaze a 20.3 and my other home boi Calvin Abram from Arizona State do his thing 10.4 and 21flat. Also Krishna Curry from UCLA she ran a 2:05 against a tough field with the young lady from Cal running 2:00flat. When I first met her, she was running 2:10-2:11 in high school and now doing her thing in college. Calvin has came a long ways though from running 10.7 handtime to 10.4FAT and 21flat. I kept thinking to myself there are doing extremely well and God has been really with them. So I'm just giving a big shout out to them for doing there thing and keep up the great work. I'm praying and keeping the faith the Lord allow me to do the same for next season.

The Season Is Done
Today, I had one more chance to qualify for regionals. The regional mark is 47.20 and today I ended running 47.60. Go ahead say it BUMMER!!! but its all good. I'm grateful but I want more. Maybe next season. I've came a long ways this past year though. Confidence is back and I'm ready for my senior year to go out with a bang. So I'm going to take this 2-4weeks off and than get back on my grind. Last season at conference, didn't earn any recognition, this past season one of the top contenders. SO GOD BLESS to Everyone who qualified: REGIONALS, NATIONALS AND EVEN OLYMPIC TRIALS.

Sunbelt Conference Championships
Wazzup everyone, just finished with the Sunbelt Conference Championships. It was located at North Texas, where I competed in the 400,4x4,and 4x1. Coming into the meet I was trying not to think about it alot and just have fun. Chillin with my teammates and joking around with them really helped alot mentally. Anyways on the first day, I had lane 3 for the 400 prelims, didn't get out like I wanted to but finish pretty strongly. Ended getting up 2nd the heat with a time of 47.63, not bad. The last qualifying time was 47.9 I think to get into the finals. I thanked the Lord for allowing me to make the finals, because I was wasn't in the finals last season. After the race, took a good ice cold bath for about 12-15mins. The finals, this time got Lane 2(bummer right) not for me kinda like lane 2. Every since I was young kid starting track I liked lane 2. Anyways, I decided just to go all out and trust in my body and put all faith in the Lord. I have nothing to lose, I notice before athletes about to get into the blocks, they shake alot lol. I blasted out of the blocks like a road runner getting chase by coyote(BEEP BEEP) lol Coming around the 200m mark, I was like 2nd or third, the last 150m I gave everything that I had. The last 75m I ended up being in the lead, my eyes started getting BIG , I could hear the announcer calling my name, the people cheering, than the last step,I see a long figure dipped right when I dipped. I looked at the clock 2nd place finish lol,(47.22) the regional mark is 47.20 just barely missing it. I'm grateful tho and gave all praise to the Lord Next was the 4x4, I don't think the conference still respect us yet for some reason. They were about to put us in the slow heat, and we had the 4th fastest time coming in. Luckily the two teams dropped out and decided to combine heats,Thank you Lord. North Texas(3:08), WKU(3:07),and UALR(3:10) are the top teams coming in we only ran 3:11 but we been beat up all year long. I told my two seniors runners, it was a pleasure running with ya and ya my brothers, if this our last race together, I want ya to come out on top. Our first leg, put us in the position for 4th place, our 2nd leg(split 47.0), kept the position but closed the gap. Our third leg split 47.5, close the gap just enough for me to be in contention. I blasted the first 150, and relaxed, during the last 150 everybody started kicking when I started kicking lol The Lord was with me, I moved from fourth-third-2nd, but by that time, it was too late North Texas had won, but if there was only 5m's left, I would have got him. My teammates were happy and cheering, the Coach came over and said "do you know what you just split?" 45.9 . I was speechless but crying for joy inside thanking God. We ended running 3:10.43(regional mark 3:10.00) and North Texas ran 3:10.2. I'm cool with that though, all the hard work put in and blood, sweat, tears paid off truly.

Lsu Alumni Gold
First of all if it wasn't for God none of this would happen. This past weekend our track team traveled to LSU for the LSU Alumni Gold meet. This meet is outstanding alot of future Olympians if you just sit back and look who was all there competing. The Lord allowed my time to drop with a 47.59. I'm happy with it and just praying for more improvement from here.
The day before the track meet, went out to the river and sat there just trying to clear my head. I think it helped me out mentally.
I want to say congrats to Starr, Brianna Glenn, and Lady Kali Baker, on there accomplishments so far this season. Reading there blogs has been helping me.
