4 mile race in 13 hours
I've had at least 2 solid weeks of training; 5 good workouts in a row,
with decent recovery days and solid long runs; while backing off a
little on the heavy lifting, but still keeping up the drills, plyos and
strides. With that i've gotten lots of confidence back.
So tonight I am just relaxing, I'm packed up for New York.. I'm getting
on a plane to go to a banquet later on Saturday night (unfortunately
the Trials will be over) but i've planned my racing months ago (Jump
the Gun in Indianapolis) - and I need this to see where I'm at.
Last year I ran 22:34 with what seems to be similiar conditions ( a little wind, cold).
Tomorrow I want to get out under 5:40 and push it like a 5K.
If I can come close to 5:40 pace, I'll be happy.. I need to get out and
test my self.. I'm rested up and ready for a challenge. :)
We'll see if i can tough it up!
