The other day we had a workout that consisted of 2 1000s, 2 800s, 2 600s, 2 400s,and 2 200s and this was by far my best workout of the season. These past couple of days we havent done anything but distance runs and alot of core workouts since our next meet isnt until Jan 20. Ill keep you guys updated as more goes on.

Getting into season mode.
Even though I am still a little more than a month away from my first meet I am starting to get focused. This week of practice has been very tough on me for some reason. Even though I ran over thanksgiving break a good amount I wasnt really prepared for the 40 mins of stairs that we ran on monday that my calfs still hurt from. I feel that i am making strides to achieve my goals that I have set for myself for this upcoming season. I know that this yr is gonna be very long and tough becuase this will be the first season that I have entered without any injuries but I am ready to but my body to the punishment to be the best I can be this season.

New Week
Today is Monday Novenber 12, 2007. Today starts a very long week for me. Practice has started to intensify and my body is starting to become tired but im still going to fight through the pain becuase it will only make me better. This week is full of test and presentations as well as practice im just hoping that i can make it through it. This week i will be putting in plenty of mile to get by mileage up after taking the first couple of weeks to work on my mechanics and to get my speed back to where it was. After spending most of last yr hurt I have to say that I finally feel like im back to the point where I can run fast again.

Training Starting To Get Serious
I have begun to train hard for the upcoming track season. Right now I'm really focusing on building strength, which is something Ive always needed to work onso far I have gained 5 pounds and I have have become stronger and leaner . I'm also trying to perfect my start, even though I have ran 47.8 in the past my block starts have always been horrible and I hope to change that during this season . Ive been running a lot of miles to prepare me to run the 4x8.Our first meet is January 5th at IU. I hope to have all of my mechanics down by that time so I can be ready to run fast . Judging by where I'm at in practice, this will be a great season and I will run very fast!. My goals for this yr are to go 47.0 and 152.0 indoor and to break 47 and 150. outdoors. I will keep everyone posted on anything exciting that takes place during the pre-season.
