Two regions down, two to go.  Timothy Morse (Radford) opened the competition in the East Region with a big first round personal best take home a surprise win in the east region.  Matej Muza (Virginia Tech) and Jon Hart (Liberty) both got their automatic bids, and John Freeman (Georgia) threw a personal best to also get an automatic bid.  The Auburn throwers once again led the Mideast Region, with Cory Martin (Auburn) throwing a new personal best.  Chris Rohr (Missouri) threw a personal best for third place.  His teammate Tyler Dailey (Missouri) also threw a personal best for eight place, likely making him on of the last at-large qualifiers.  In the Midwest, Egor Agafonov (Kansas) broke his own Regional Champion record with a season's best throw to win.  Favorite Simon Wardhaugh (Boise State) also won out west.

Among the top throwers who failed to become eligible for at large bid were Nate Rolfe (Georgia) and Dave Ebersole (Ohio State).  Rolfe fouled out while Ebersole placed 21st in the Mideast Region.
