NCAA Championships: East Region Preview

27 May 2008 at 20:42 - 0 comments - link
The top five women throwers in the east region have also been the five most consistent throwers and should lock up automatic bids.  However, one thrower you can't count out is Kimery Hern (Georgia Tech).  While her personal best is not as far as the competition, she has demonstrated her ability to compete throughout her career.  Last season she placed ninth at the NCAA Championships and earned All-American honors.  Matej Muza (Virginia Tech) will be looking to win the men's competition despite troubles at regionals last season.  Jon Hart (Liberty) has been coming on strong lately and will challenge Muza.  Nate Rolfe (Georgia) is the third seed, but has yet to see the form that earned him earned him All-American honors last season.  On the flip side, his teammate John Freeman (Georgia) has been throwing extremely well lately.
