NCAA Championships: D3 Results
Defending champion Terri Schwamb (Wisconsin-Oshkosh) dominated the field for her second straight women's title on Friday. Schwamb led the competition from start to finish. All six of her throws oudistanced runner up Liz Earley (Allegheny). Early also had an oustanding day and missed her personal best by just one centimeter.
In contrast, the men's competition featured a few lead changes. Mark O'Connell (St. Thomas) took the early lead in the first flight, but Trevor Matuszak (Defiance) led the competition heading into finals. On his last attempt, O'Connell improved by six feet to take the lead and eventually win the competition.
