Update on Adam Midles
As a senior at USC last season, Adam Midles earned his third straight All-American honor with a fifth place finish at the NCAA Championships. Midles came to USC from Capital High School in Olympia, Washington as the second best high school hammer thrower ever. After graduating, Midles contemplating walking away from the event before deciding instead continued to train towards the Olympic Trials. KEZI television in Eugene, Oregon did a profile of Midles last week, detailing his current training and family tradition of hammer thrower. Midles' father was the fourth place finisher at the 1980 Olympic Trials and his brother, Zack Midles, is a sophomore at Washington and just place third at the Pac-10 Championships. His youngest sister is also an emerging high school hammer thrower. As a good friend, I wish Adam good luck at the Olympic Trials.
