Results for the Weekend of 5/17/08
 As promised, conference championships across the country provided plenty of excitement. In one of the biggest upsets of the weekend, Sarah Stevens (Arizona State - pictured to the right by Spencer Allen) upset national leader Eva Orban (USC) for the Pac 10 title. Stevens led from start to finish while Orban struggled to find her form. Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) posted the best mark of the weekend en route to winning a MVC title. Ashley Harbin (Lafayette) also improved by nearly two meters.
Cory Martin (Auburn) continued his dominance during the outdoor season with a near personal best effort to win the SEC Championships. Among the top throwers showing an improvement over the weekend were Simon Wardhaugh (Boise State), who edged ever closer to 70 meters, and Jon Hart (Liberty), who also improved his personal best.
