More Post-Collegiate News: Profiles of Nutter and Frizell
As this is an Olympic year, I am going to begin to start posting some more news and updates about post-collegiate and professional athletes. Once the NCAA season is over, look for me to post results from the Olympic Trials and top European competitions.
There were some good articles this past weekend about a few atheltes making a run for the Olympics. California grad Travis Nutter was third at the 2004 Olympic Trials, but failed to obtain the Olympic 'A' standard and punch his ticket to the games. Four years later, he's still got hopes of making a team. The Monterey County Herald told his story last week. Sultana Frizell, who competed for two years at Georgia, set another Canadian record on Saturday. She was also the focus of a good article by the Ottawa Citizen over the weekend.
