NCAA Men's Hammer Rankings Vol. 5

23 April 2008 at 20:42 - 1 comments - link
This week's biggest change is the absence of Walter Henning (North Carolina).  Henning announced that he will not be competing for the remainder of the season after deciding to transfer to LSU.  Had he planned on completing the season, he likely would have moved way up the rankings after easily beating Matej Muza to win the ACC Championships this past weekend.  Simon Wardhaugh also moved up this week after winning the Mt. SAC Relays collegiate division.
  1. Cory Martin (Auburn) (-)
  2. Jake Dunkleberger (Auburn) (-)
  3. Egor Agafonov (Kansas) (-)
  4. Simon Wardhaugh (Boise State) (+1)
  5. Matej Muza (Virginia Tech) (-1)
  6. Jon Hart (Liberty) (+3)
  7. Boldi Kocsor (UCLA) (-1)
  8. Steffan Nerdal (Memphis) (-)
  9. Chris Rohr (Missouri) (NR)
  10. Jarrod Stevens (Boise State) (NR)
Dropped from rankings: Walter Henning (North Carolina) (7); Nate Rolfe (Georgia) (10).
On the bubble (listed alphabetically): Rabun Fox (LSU); Colin Veldman (Oregon); Jaroslaw Zakrzewski (Kent State).
