NCAA Women's Hammer Rankings Vol. 4

14 April 2008 at 22:41 - 0 comments - link
Since the top two throwers took the weekend off, the top two spots remained unchanged.  Next week, however, will help settle the number one thrower as both Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) and Eva Orban (USC) are set to compete against one another at the Mt. SAC relays.  Also this week, Sarah Stevens (Arizona State) improved to secure her claim on third place.  Ozie Okolie (Techas Tech) had another consistent meet to move up in the rankings once again.  Tai Battle (Arizona State) makes her debut on the rankings after a great start to the season.  With her on the rankings, Arizona State now has three athletes in the top six.  The real test for their team will be to see how they throw without a home field advantage.
  1. Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) (-)
  2. Eva Orban (USC) (-)
  3. Sarah Stevens (Arizona State) (-)
  4. Jessica Pressley (Arizona State) (-)
