NCAA Women's Hammer Rankings Vol. 3
For the remainder of the season I am going to post the women's and men's rankings on seperate days. Now that the larger meets are starting, enough is happening each week to justify multiple posts.
As mentioned last week, Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) has a weak grip on first place. If Eva Orban had not taken the week off, she might have moved into the first spot. Sarah Stevens (Arizona State) and many others opened up the season strong and moved up the rankings. Veronica Jatsek (Ohio State), however, was off of her best in her first competition and slipped out of the rankings.
- Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) (-)
- Eva Orban (USC) (-)
- Sarah Stevens (Arizona State) (+1)
- Jessica Pressley (Arizona State) (+1)
- Dorotea Habazin (Virginia Tech) (NR)
- Kristen Callan (Virginia Tech) (+3)
- Stevi Large (Akron) (-1)
- Loren Groves (Kansas State) (-)
- Ozie Okolie (Texas Tech) (+1)
- Laci Heller (Kansas State) (-3)
Dropped from rankings: Veronica Jatsek (Ohio State) (3). On the bubble (listed alphabetically): Sharon Ayala (Fresno State); Tai Battle (Arizona State).
