NAIA Indoor National Championships Results
Friday saw the NAIA National Championships come to Johnson City, Tennessee. Eric Flores (Black Hills State) entered the competition as the defending champion and number one seed, but was off of his season best and only managed fourth place in a close competition. Greg Schultz (Concordia) instead took the early lead before Scott VanCura (Hastings) threw a personal best in the firth round to move into first and eventually win. The top four throwers were little more than a foot apart.
Aubrey Baxter (Black Hills State) defended her woman's title with a throw of 18.37m (60-03.25). However, she was unable to challenge her championship record from last season. Emily Brown (Clarke) took second place at 17.82m (58-05.75).
