Results for the Weekend of 3/01/08
After a long weekend of conference championships, the national performance lists have seen many new additions and improvements. Among the headliners were Egor Agafonov (Kansas), who came from behind to throw a NCAA leading mark and win the Big 12 Championship. Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) also set a conference championships record as she continued her dominating season. To conclude the weekend, Jon Pullum (Purdue) broke 70 feet for the first time to win at the Big Ten Championships by a slim margin. Veronica Jatsek (Ohio State) also broke 70 feet for the first time to win the women's title. You'll find the best throws from this weekend listed below. For a summary of the other competition results, see our posts from earlier in the weekend.
