Big Friday Results from Missouri
Missouri Junior Chris Rohr launched a huge personal best over the weekend to take the nation's lead in the weight throw at the Central Missouri Classic. After opening the competition with a season best toss of 21.04m (69-00.25), he continued a consistent series before launching a huge personal best of 22.26m (73-00.50). Rohr, a seventh place finisher at last year's NCAA indoor championships, has been consistent this season, but had only managed 20.70m (67-10.75) entering Friday's competition.
Rohr made a few comments to MUTigers.com after the competition. "All-around it was just a great competition," said Rohr afterwards. "It all started with Nate [Englin]'s PR, and we all had fun with it. We were real professional about it, and we all know there is more to come for all of us." Rohr also broke the Missouri school record previously held by Christian Cantwell (who also had a big day in the shot put).
