The top weight throwers travelled across the country this weekend in what was the most competitive weekends of the season so far.  Large competitions were hosted by Iowa State, Arkansas, and Washington.  At the Iowa State Classic, Jake Dunkleberger (Auburn) took home another win over a personal best performance by Jon Pullum (Purdue) and strong throws by Chris Rohr (Missouri) and Jason Lewis (Arizona State).  On the women's side, Brittany Riley (Southern Illinois) easily won the competition by ten feet and improved her season best by one inch.  Meanwhile, Sarah Stevens (Arizona State) threw a season best for second place with Astin Steward (Purdue) and Jessica Pressley (Arizona State) close behind.

Out west, post collegiate thrower James Parker stole the show with his personal best toss of 23.30m at the Husky Classic.  However, Jake Shanklin (Wyoming) led a group of collegiate throwers over 20 meters.  At the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas, Egor Agafonov (Kansas) remained undefeated as Khadija Talley (Miami) threw a one-meter season best to win the women's competition.
