NCAA Women's Weight Rankings Vol. 1: Riley Dominates
This is CollegeHammer.com's first ever collegiate weight throw ranking. Below you will find a top 10 ranking of the nation's top NCAA Division I female weight throwers. The men's rankings will be released tomorrow. The rankings are based on a subjective prediction of how individuals will place at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March. With that said, away we go...
Brittany Riley has shown an undisputed dominance of the weight throw this season and looks to repeat as NCAA champion. After her, the trio of Stevi Large, Loren Groves, and Veronica Jatsek have all been consistent around 21 meters. Groves has the second furtherst mark of the season, but was slightly off form this past week. Large, on the other hand, has been just as consistent and improved this past weekend to close the gap on Groves.
