NCAA Men's Weight Rankings Vol. 1: Defending Outdoor Champ Looks to Add Indoor Title
Jake Dunkleberger proved he can win close competitions with his underdog performance at last year's NCAA Championships. Although he placed a disappointing fifth at last year's indoor championships, he opened the season with a strong throw and is just more than an inch off the national lead. Egor Agafonov has only the fifth best mark in the NCAA, but still is one of the top contenders. You cannot forget that he tends to peak late in the season and is the defending indoor champion. He took on some good competition this past weekend and came out with a victory. While Jake Shanklin has the season's top mark so far, he has yet to throw well at a big competition. He finished a disappointing twelth at last year's indoor championships and fouled out at the outdoor championships.
