Results for the Weekend of 1/19/08
Brittany Riley showed she hadn't lost any form over the holidays with a toss of 23.82m (78-01.75) over the weekend to maintain her position as favorite to win this year's NCAA title. Riley, who opened her season last month with a toss of 24.23m (79-06) continues to dominate the collegiate scene. Loren Groves of Kansas State opened her season with a personal best toss and came within an inch of breaking the 70-foot barrier. Astin Steward of Purdue also threw a personal best over the weekend.
On the men's side, Idaho's Matt Wauters opened the season just one centimeter off of his personal best. Chris Rohr was also near top form in his season opener and Jon Pullum backed up last week's big personal best with a strong effort this past weekend.

Martin, I am trying to create a co-op of track fans to create a ranking system that will replace the now-defunct Trackwire. Could we incorporate your hammer rankings into our rankings? Please contact me at (I'm screwing up my e-mail address so spammers can't grab it): LMN(at)austin(dot)rr(dot)com
Thanks,
Lee Nichols
