Small Division Updates
Division 2: Kibwe Johnson (Ashland) is far atop the men's list this season. The 25-year-old Johnson has surpassed 70-meters six times this season and holds a best of 73.54m. Michael Gusbeth (Western State) is second at 65.10m and Robert Klenk (Ashland) is third at 62.75m. The women's competition is much closer. Jessica Selby (Missouri Southern) moved into the lead last weekend with a new personal best of 56.39m. However, Emily King (Winona State) and Audrey Oswlad (Humboldt State) are both within two feet of her.
Division 3: Like most years, Wisconsin throwers lead the nation. Kevin Becker (Wisconsin-LaCrosse) has a sizeable lead in the men's national lists. He threw a personal best of 64.18m (210-7) last weekend, but his other two meets this season have both been under 60 meters. Jason Fisher (Central College of Iowa) has the second best mark at 60.79m (199-5). Terri Schwamb (Wisconsin Oshkosh) has led the women's list for most of the season. Her best of 58.62m (192-4) from last weekend leads Dana Klemm (Loras College) by over four meters.
NAIA: Karley Kalinich (Fresno Pacific) has a sizeable lead on the women's performance list with her best of 58.04m. The men's competition is very close however. Eric Flores (Black Hills) has thrown 60.71m while Greg Schultz (Concordia) has tossed 60.49m. Flores also briefly attended Concordia this past fall.
