Good is the enemy of GREAT
A simple head nod acknowledging someone that said, “good job”. A this moment of “accomplishment”, you've been stalled in the quest of capturing your dream. When you choose GREATNESS is a “good job” sufficient fuel to burn the journey to your goals? Is being good enough all that we strive for as champions? Do you think all the GREAT ones settled for just doing a “good job”, I doubt it because then they would be good just like everyone else. Greatness knows training at 4:45a.m. is status quo, Good thinks no one else is doing anything at that time. Greatness feels the stadium rocking with cheers surround them in their sleep, Good thinks it was just a really vivid dream. Greatness doesn’t acknowledge pain, Good thinks that it is weakness leaving the body. Greatness defies the odds with regularity; Good thinks they have a good chance of beating the odds. Greatness knows excuses never explain and explanations never excuse, Good thinks a good excuse is a reason to rest. Greatness bends, Good breaks. Greatness is rare, goodness is common. By now I’m sure you understand the exclusivity that comes with being Great, standing amongst Kings and Queens, Champions and Legends.
So you may sit and ask yourself is this a choice? Is it something inherited that I was born with? I guess if you have to ask yourself that question thats not a “good” thing, but maybe you are………..
