Sunday 17 February 2008 at 9:46 PM - 1 comments - post comment - link

well, nothing thrilling this weekend. we did the 200m at the friday training. 10x200m with 6min break in an average of 26.87sec in sneakers. slowly it's getting hard. ha ha

my other teammates did well at some meets this weekend. the fastest girl ran 7.26sec, the other one ran 7.39sec. not too bad. lol, i am getting red when i think about my pr. lol

so, c u next time.

i am back on business

Tuesday 12 February 2008 at 4:09 PM - 2 comments - post comment - link

hey guys,

i am sorry i did not give any shout from me since some days.

I was some kind of very disappointed from my last race this indoor season. I am very glad Starr and V give me support, not to put too much focus on the indoor season and to train for the summer, to reach my goals.

My 49.16sec this winter makes me some kind of confident to run much faster this summer, even my training goes very well. My 200m time during my training just one day before the south German champs was good. Out of the block i easily ran 21.87sec.The next day I did feel good, but could not run like the day before. I have to run on lane two, what is not good I think. I never came into the race really. My time was just s*it. 22.40sec, I cannot remember when I ran so slow in the winter. This made me so sad. I don’t kown why.

Anyway, a lot of friends told me to keep on training and keeping looking forward to the summer season, where I will have much more meets to run fast. During the winter you just have around four competitions. If you are not a great sprinter, it’s hard to reach some good times. So since one week I began to train for the summer. I will concentrate to run 400m in the training, not so many 500m. Last week I ran 4 times the 400m with 10min break in an average of 55.51sec. Today I will do them in 55.01sec. The next weeks I will ran faster and faster, but with longer breaks.I hope I will get through this trainings well and come out with a smile on my face.

hey guys,
uff man, i have so much stress in these days. I am happy when i come home around 9pm, eat something, watch some tv, at round 11pm i finally fall on my bed, lazy and tired like a dog.
Training is good anyway.30m fly was not so good on tuesday, but i could run 150m in good time. 16.48sec and 16.25sec indoor. the last two days i just made some start training, technical stuff and so on.
today we wil make some kind of training competiton, run the 200m with full power. let's see what the clock will show. i hope around 21.78sec.tomorrow i will compete at the south german champs, 200m. i need to run under 22.10sec to make the quali for the german champs end of february. corss ur finger for me. this is my last chance to make it, otherwise my indoor season is finished.

i am out

day two

Wednesday 23 January 2008 at 4:03 PM - 1 comments - post comment - link
so, on sunday there was my 400m final. the qualification time for the German champs is 49.10sec. I missed it in the heat on saturday at 0.06sec and i was confident to make it in the final.first when i came to the indoor track, i watched the 200m finals, where i also wanted to compete, but i could not because of the known reasons. the male winner ran 21.5sec and the female one 24.1sec. Kathi already ran fabulous 24.03sec in the heats, but in the final she looked like the heat took a lot of power. anway, what a good sprinter she is.
my 400m final was the last competition at this day. the hall was almost empty, so my motivation was not so big. anway, i wanted to run 48.xxsec. I passed all other guys after around 80m, but this was too fast, i knew at once. the last 100m i ran in 13.14sec, what is pretty good, but my time was not fast enough. okay, i am bavarian champion, but also i am a little disappointed with the time, so my face showed a bitter smile.
after the race i decided to run at my last competition (if i cannot run the qualification time) at the south German champs. there i will compete at the 200m and i hope i can run faster than ever before. my training performance for sprints look good, so let's see if i can do it. i am looking forward to run there. i must beat a time of 22.10sec for the german champs, this is not too difficult, but not easy also.

day one

Saturday 19 January 2008 at 9:01 PM - 0 comments - post comment - link

well, it was a little disappoiting, we just had nine guys running 400m heats. everybody was discussing if they should make on saturday the heats as finals and cancel the final on sunday. is there a sense to make heats if you just have nine competitors? i don't think so. well, anyway, i felt confident to run well, my training was good in the last time so i started the 200m in 23.38sec, and the 300m in 35.64sec. At the last 100m i finally felt the pain you have at this discipline. lol 49.16sec was my time, 0.06sec to slow of the Germany Champs, but on sunday i have another chance to make it, and i am sure to achieve this time. i want to run under 49sec, cross ur fingers for me. thanx. lol

our relay team did not run, all the others guys feel some pain (anywhere) or are too slow. s*it . . . no comment from me about this . . . .because of the 400m final on sunday, i cannot run the 200m, so i still don't understand why we have to run a heat and a final. . . . . again no comment from me. lol

more will follow

back on the track

Thursday 17 January 2008 at 5:39 PM - 0 comments - post comment - link
Hi,
therefore I did not report me long, apology.  It has been happening a lot for the new year. I was sick for about one week. the first time for more than 4 years.
i almost forgot how it feels to lie in the bed and have nothing to do but suffering. lol

I was not able to train correctly. the first days after the sickness it was hard to run 2min without a break, i think this says all. lol
my first contest was okay last year. now i had the first correct meet in the new year.

The 60m were not easy, I was without strength on the start grid the start.  There I was able to become second in a time of  7.19sec.

When I sat in the start grid to the 200m, I did not know if i can bring it home, if felt soooo lazy.

in the second curve i passed all and could win the race in  22.30sec, what was okay, but did not show my possibilities at all.

At the weekend, when we have national regional championship, I compete at 200m, 400m and the 4x200m relay. At least i want to win one competition, let's see which one. lol
Maybe i can also bring some other home with my team.

Yesterday I ran the 80m in 8.61sec what is yet very good for me.
I will holla back after this weekend.

take care

getting back to training

Wednesday 26 December 2007 at 9:49 PM - 2 comments - post comment - link
what a nice christmas (training) time, just soooo easy. lol
my last training was at the holy evening, doing some squat exercises and bench pressing.
the 25th and 26th i just went jogging for some minutes.
During that days it’s not too cold here in old Germany. The last days we had teps of about -5°or sometimes even -10°C.
now it's getting some warmer, so it's was okay to go jogging 30min outside. lol
man, 2morrow it's getting usual again. here in berlin where i stay during the christmas vacation, we have two awesome indoor tracks.

the better one is the former proud of East Germany. it's in east Berlin, got renovated about three year ago and now its just great.

you have a 200m track with another 2langes around the sprint lanes, a big gym, a straight 6lane 110m track and a big place for all throwers.
i don't know how much they payed to get it done, but it must have been pretty expensive i think, and berlin is not as rich as many think, so everybody can just be thankful to train on a track like this. lol

so, the next training unit will be sprints with a sled, let's see how it works after some days laying on the sofa.
i have eaten so much, i hope i will not step on my fat belly at the start. lol

i am out

PS: i did not train a lot in that hall in the past, because i am from west Berlin and we have another indoor track there, but it's not as good as this.

getting fast slowly

Monday 17 December 2007 at 5:13 PM - 0 comments - post comment - link
hey, i was tired last friday and had no motivation to train hard.
well, i cannot tell this to my trainer, she puts so much engagement into our training, so she would be very disapointed if i am too lazy to train.
anyway, my motivation at this day was so low, i forget to bring my spike shoes to the indoor track, so i had to give even more power to this training.
this day we had speed training, so it was a pity not to have them.
it is not unconditionally necessary to wear such shoes at the this time, it is however a large advantage.
we pulled a 10kg sled behind us here, if you dont have any nails under your feet its getting more hard.
The training looked as follows:  6x50m with 10kg sled and 6x0m out of the high start.  So, last week I ran max.  6.64sec and 6.68sec in spikes.
This time it whas all better, I do not know how and why I did it, but I was very happy, I can sprint fast. lol
50m with 10kg sled in max 6.48 and 60m high start 6.52 sec - in sneakers- !

the next and last training for this week was on saturday.
the schedule was 8x200m with spikes in fast times.
hey, and i could run fast. the average was about 25.21 sec i think, the last and fastest one was 23.32sec. the break was about 6-8min. not too bad i think.

picture me rolling' at the nex meet. lol

well

Wednesday 12 December 2007 at 12:21 PM - 2 comments - post comment - link

the weekend competiton was good, but not fabulous.
After my cramp one and a half weeks before at a 60m training, i was not able to train accordingly, but i had no pain in my leg in the last days, so i decided to compete in this sprint cup for the fly 30m, 60m and 150m.

the first fly 30m was not so good, i could not move my legs as i wanted. when my trainer finished kicking my ass, i could run 2.97, what is okay, but still slower than my times in training.
next thing was my unloved 60m, my start is just bad as a college girls one, so i could not expect too much.
I came out of the block pretty good, hey what a suprise, then i could leave all behind me allready after 10m. After about 40m i could feel that my leg is still not 100% okay, so i just finished the race without to much pressure.
My end result was 7.13sec, i broke my PB of more than 2/10, but i can run faster, but not with this fxxxed up leg.

I quit to run 150m, so i gave the victory to my teammate. They just ran 17.11sec, i could have run much faster, but anyway, who knew, maybe my problems would have developed into a real injury.

Now i am back to normal training. Yesterday i ran 150m and 500m, not as fast as i wanted, but i was just to tired, i just wanted to take a nap at the track. lol
Today we will go to the gym to push some iron. lol

hey, everything is okay with my semitendinosus muscle, i got two massages, made some break and now i feel much better.
I dont know why this happend, maybe i did too much squat exercise, 160kg, anyway too much training for my legs or ..., i dont know. It just happened, but its not too severe.

So tomorrow we will compete in a samll indoor sprint cup. I will run fly 30m, 60m, 150m.
they will add all three times, the first three places will get som price money...... yeah!!!
just for fun i will also run 300m, hopefully i can show a good stamina and a time of about 35.00sec.

I will let you know how i did it.

what up

Monday 3 December 2007 at 6:45 PM - 0 comments - post comment - link
I was out saturday night, dancing the whole night. no, not too much alcohol. lol
But the dancing and shaking my body helped me a lot with my leg. Some days ago i had some probs with my upper leg muscle, because of a cramp just when i did sprint.
well, even i had to stopp i could run the 60m in 6.72sec. lol
Now its just getting better from day to day, so i hope i can make a test at this weekend.

So if you have muscule probs, just go out and dance, the vibrations will help you a lot. lol

i am out

what does sport mean in your life? is it just a hobby? is it some more? are you a pro? do you want to be a pro in the future? are you willing to work hard to improve and get better? do you want to break the world record, or just your own personal record.
do you train to be second? do you train to get in shape?
i think both sides of sport are good. to get better in your discipline and to improve your health.

You can see people in a club, dancing for one hour, then sitting down on the couch to relax, cause they are just too weak to go on. They smoke and drink too much.

You can see people walking around with bellys like hell, do they do any sport? Do they think they treat their body right?

You can see people which have to work every day around 9-10 hours, every evening they feel like tortured. They dont have the power. After 5 years they get an heart attack.

Sport is not just an hobby or a profession, but its also necessary to care for your body. God has given you a great machine, you should keep it running well.
Too much sport kills you, but the right dose keeps you alive.

Nothing is impossible - Just do it

stiffness

Wednesday 21 November 2007 at 2:27 PM - 0 comments - post comment - link
after two weeks hard training i am getting a little tired.
i step out of the bed in the morning around 7am and could fall back into sleep at once, uff.
this week i also have to search for a good physiologist to get some therapie.
My weight is 5kg higher than 12months before.. i think i work out too much in the gym.
lol
yesterdays training was not so good. i still felt stiff and not good enough to run fast.
fly30m in 3.01sec (just) and 250m in an easy going sprint in 29.10ec.

the rest of the week will be much more easy, not too much training on the track and in the gym. i just need to relax a little. i do train 5 times a week, but this week i will have one day extra free.
hopefully this will help me with my stiff muscles and also if i can find a "nice" physio". lol

cu soon

what's poppin'?

not to say who's poppin'? well, i am just poppin' low. lol

I am sorry i "could" not get you any sign from me before. I am just getting more stress every day. sometimes it's hard to handle it, work and sport... and privacy.
I did a lot in the past 4 weeks to get a good stamina. I ran 500m and 300m in slow and fast times. The fastest until was around 74sec, which i could run pretty easily. lol
so i am confident to beat all the others in my indoor season.

Since two weeks we also do some speed skill training, means how to get out of the starting block fast and to move your legs like hell while running. just like you're hitting the drums.
well, my first tries where not that well, my new teammate Stefan could leave me around 1-2m behind him. he is a short sprinter, so i was not so sorry about that. but then i could fight back when we did the fly 30m. lol
2.96sec (PB) - 3.07sec - 2.91sec (PB)
I was so suprised about that, i ran just smooth withouth pushing it too much and then i saw this times. just great.

Yesterday we also did some starts and now i could also beat stefan for the first time. in 3 weeks we will have a small indoor test with 30m, 60m, 150m and 300m. i am looking forward to kick some asses. lol

The rest of the week will be some more easy... hopefully... haha
I am not sure if this 30m time is good enough, i dont know what real fast sprinsters run, but i think its not too bad, no???

Take care,
Sebastian

today's training

Saturday 13 October 2007 at 8:16 PM - 3 comments - post comment - link

I am in Berlin, my hometown, just to visit my family and do some party with my good friends.
Since about four years now, i live in Nurembeg, in the south of Germany. I did my job training here and now i work as a marketing spezialist here in a middle-small company.
Nurember has just about 500k citizens, so every time i come to my hometown (3.4Mio), you feel so crowded. Everywhere a lot of people, noise, cars, dirt and smog.... i it.

This is pure stress........ like a drug......... i need it somtimes......... i would die in a small town. lol

Well, anyway, i also had to train today. As i told you i had to do 4x(5x200m) today.
The time was always around 31sec, with a break of about 1.30min and a series break of 4minutes.
This was not too difficult for me. I could train in my old stadium. When i was small, i also played soccer there until i was about 14years old.

It's always very nice to come back home...
